Welcome to the lab

Why I'm building interactive prototypes in public and what to expect from this space.

For 10 years I've designed and built digital products for clients. The work shipped, the clients were happy, but most of it lived behind NDAs or inside someone else's brand. My own portfolio was screenshots of finished products with no story behind them.

I wanted to change that. Not with case studies that take weeks to write, but with something faster. Something that shows how I think, not just what I deliver.

So I'm building prototypes. One at a time, in public.

Each one starts with a reference, an inspiration, or a problem. I design and build it from scratch with React, Framer Motion, and Tailwind. Then I write a short note breaking down the decisions: why this typography scale, why SVG over canvas, why the animation feels the way it does.

The prototypes live on the Lab page where you can interact with them directly. The notes live here.

What to expect

01

Interactive prototypes that you can click, drag, and play with. Not screenshots.

02

Design breakdowns explaining the why behind typography, color, spacing, and animation choices.

03

Honest process including what didn't work, what I changed, and what I learned.
